Short answer. On CAMS, choose the payment month: the month the commission is paid to you. On KFIN, choose the trail month: the month the commission was earned. Both describe the same brokerage. The commission earned in June is paid in July. On CAMS that is payment month July. On KFIN that is trail month June.
CAMS's download screen says payment month. Its upload screen says month as per date of invoice. The invoice date is the payment date, so these are the same month. KFIN's screens ask for the month the trail relates to. Neither is wrong. They label the same money from two ends.

The invoice window for this payment opens on 7 July and closes on 15 July.
Open one invoice PDF from the ZIP. The month is printed on it. If the month on the PDF is not the month you selected on the upload screen, the upload fails the date check.
This is normal. The KFIN Excel template lists only the AMCs you ticked on the upload grid, and only those still Pending or Rejected. It is not a sign of a wrong month.

It should not. If it does, the registrar rejects the set. Request each month separately, and MFD Office warns you if the two files it is given are from different months.
