MFD Office · your MFD back office · GST Invoice Management for KFIN & CAMS

GST invoices for mutual fund distributors, made in minutes.

A signed invoice for every fund house, ready to upload to KFIN or CAMS.

If you are a mutual fund distributor (MFD), to get the GST on your brokerage you must raise a signed tax invoice to each fund house and upload it on KFIN or CAMS, fund by fund, every month, by the deadline.

MFD Office reads your KFIN or CAMS file, keeps every GST figure exactly as the registrar computed it, signs every invoice, and fills the registrar's Excel sheet to match.

One month, many fund houses. KFIN and CAMS give you a draft invoice for each fund house with the amounts filled in, but the signatory left blank, plus an Excel sheet you must complete. This example has 18 fund houses. The number changes every month, and MFD Office finishes them all in one go.

Every invoice signed and checked, ready to upload to KFIN or CAMS

The blank signatory lines get filled and signed, and the Excel sheet is completed to match, across KFIN and CAMS, ready to upload, nothing left to edit.

How it works

Three steps. A few minutes.

1

Upload

Pick KFIN or CAMS, then add the brokerage file and Excel sheet you downloaded from it.

2

Make and check, free

MFD Office makes a signed invoice for every fund house, keeps the GST figures exactly as your registrar computed them, and fills the Excel sheet, and checks the whole set before you upload. See a sample invoice on screen free, and your first month is free.

3

Download

Download every signed invoice and the completed Excel sheet, ready to upload. Your first month is free; after that a small credit pack or the Professional plan covers you. Every run is saved.

Why MFDs use it

Less manual work, fewer mistakes.

GST figures that always match

Your amounts and tax splits come straight from the registrar's own file, never retyped. So an amount mismatch can never come from us.

Your signature added for you

Set up your signatory name, designation and signature once. It goes on every invoice automatically.

The layout KFIN and CAMS expect

Your invoices come out in the exact format the registrar wants. Nothing to reformat.

Your data, handled with care

Your brokerage files are deleted right after your run. Your invoices stay safely in your account for whenever you need them, and your signature is stored encrypted.

What an MFD told us

MFD Office made my GST invoicing process so much easier. It genuinely made life easier for me.

Common questions

Good to know

Why must I raise GST invoices to fund houses?

If you are an ARN holder registered under GST, the GST on your brokerage is paid only after you raise a proper tax invoice to each fund house and upload it on KFIN or CAMS, usually between the 7th and 15th of the month. That is a separate signed invoice for every fund house, every month. Learn the GST invoice format and SAC code.

Do I need to register for GST?

Registration is compulsory only if your turnover crosses 20 lakh rupees in a year (10 lakh in some states), but from 1 April 2026 the fund houses pay the 18% GST only against a valid invoice, so an unregistered distributor does not receive it. MFD Office makes that invoice, and it carries your GSTIN, so it helps once you are registered. See do you need GST registration, and is it worth it.

Does it work with both KFIN and CAMS?

Yes. Pick KFIN or CAMS, upload the brokerage file you downloaded from it, and your invoices come out in that registrar's own layout. See the step-by-step KFIN guide or CAMS guide.

Will KFIN or CAMS accept an invoice MFD Office makes?

Yes. KFIN and CAMS don't check who made your invoice, they check that the GST figures, format and signature are correct, the same as an invoice you made by hand or your CA made for you. MFD Office fills in the exact layout and fields each registrar's own template expects, so what you upload looks like any other signed tax invoice to them.

Is it really free to try?

Yes. On the demo you see one of your own invoices, made from your real file, with no signup or card. Every new account also gets a free first month, 30 days of unlimited invoices with every tool included, so your first month costs nothing. Plans and credits are per ARN. See pricing for what comes after.

Do I have to sign each invoice myself?

No. Set up your signature once and it is added to every invoice for you, so nothing is left blank.

Can MFD Office do my GSTR-1?

Yes. Once your invoices are made, MFD Office puts your KFIN and CAMS invoices for the month into one GSTR-1 file, ready to import on the GST portal, plus a plain Excel for your CA. Every GSTIN and amount comes straight from your own invoices. It does not file the return, you review it and file it. See the GSTR-1 guide.

Is MFD Office a full MFD back office system?

MFD Office is a back office platform for MFDs, and GST Invoice Management is its first tool. It does not track your client portfolios or KYC, so it is built to sit alongside whatever back office or CRM you already use. See what an MFD back office covers, and where GST invoicing fits.

Who is behind this

Built by people who file this GST themselves

MFD Office is run by FundsPundit, a mutual fund distribution business in Chennai. We file this same GST every month for our own ARN, on both KFIN and CAMS, so we built the tool we needed ourselves. When you write to support, the answer comes from people who do this work every month. Say hello →
