CAMS e-Sign fits if all your AMCs are serviced by CAMS and you are happy to sign on the CAMS website every month.
MFD Office fits if any of these is true:
Many distributors use both. That works.
CAMS added an online way to sign and submit GST invoices inside GST Invoice Management on camsonline.com. It is a short wizard. You declare whether you are an individual or a corporate. You choose your Invoice Source. You choose how the invoice will be signed and sent. Then you pick the invoice period and upload.
The e-Sign option sits under one Invoice Source, called CAMS-Generated Invoices. This is the invoice CAMS itself prepares for each AMC from the commission it is paying you. If you choose it, you can sign with an OTP instead of signing a PDF yourself. The screen also asks you to accept its terms, and a small yearly e-Sign charge is shown there (₹100 when we checked in August 2026).
This is helpful. For a distributor whose AMCs are all with CAMS, it removes the signing step for those invoices. We say that plainly, because it is true.
An MFD's month has five parts. CAMS's e-Sign covers the first two, for one group of distributors, for one registrar.
| Part of the month | CAMS e-Sign | MFD Office |
|---|---|---|
| 1. A signed invoice for every AMC | CAMS AMCs only, CAMS-generated invoice only | Every AMC, CAMS and KFIN, your own numbering if you use it |
| 2. Send it to the registrar | CAMS only | The upload set for CAMS and the upload set for KFIN, both filled in |
| 3. Check the figures before you upload | You check | Checked for you. Twelve checks on KFIN files, eight on CAMS files, then the total on every signed invoice is matched against the registrar's own figure before you download |
| 4. Know which AMC paid you | You track it | A record per AMC, brokerage and GST separately |
| 5. Prepare your GSTR-1 | You type it | Your GSTR-1 JSON and an Excel for your CA, built from the month's invoices. You review and file |
Three facts decide most cases.
Nothing stops you. Sign your CAMS-generated invoices with CAMS's e-Sign if you qualify and prefer it, and use MFD Office for your KFIN set and for the checks, the payment record and the GSTR-1 file. Or run everything through MFD Office and upload on CAMS through Your Own Invoice Format. Both paths reach the same Invoice Status screen.
Your first month is free, full access, no card. After that, Professional is ₹899 a month or ₹3,999 a year for unlimited invoices and every feature. If you file only some months, a credit pack is ₹699 for 100 credits, one time, and the credits do not expire. Prices are per ARN and exclude 18% GST. The full list is on the pricing page.
Upload the ZIP and Excel that CAMS or KFIN sent you and see one of your invoices signed in minutes. No signup, no card.
See your own invoice, freeIt is an option inside GST Invoice Management on camsonline.com. If you choose CAMS-Generated Invoices as your Invoice Source, you can sign those invoices with an OTP on the CAMS website instead of signing a PDF yourself.
No. KFIN is a separate registrar with its own GST Invoice Management on dss.kfintech.com. Your KFIN AMCs need a signed invoice each and a filled Excel sheet every month, uploaded there.
CAMS-Generated Invoices carry CAMS's own invoice number. If you want your own number on the invoice, choose Your Own Invoice Format. MFD Office supports custom invoice numbering.
No. It signs and submits the invoice. Your GSTR-1 is still prepared and filed by you or your CA. MFD Office builds the GSTR-1 JSON and a CA Excel from the month's invoices for both registrars. You review it and file it.
Yes. Some distributors sign CAMS-generated invoices on CAMS and use MFD Office for KFIN, the checks, the payment record and GSTR-1. Others run everything through MFD Office and upload on CAMS through Your Own Invoice Format. Both work.
