CAMS redesigned GST Invoice Management on camsonline.com. The menu names changed, and the upload screen is now a short wizard. We tested it end to end with a real MFD Office invoice set, the same signed PDFs and Excel sheet MFD Office already gives you, and it went through and came back Approved without changing anything you do today.
Short version: on the new screens, pick Your Own Invoice Format, then Manual Document Upload, then Multi-AMC Batch Upload (via Excel). Upload the zip and Excel sheet MFD Office already made you. That is it, nothing on your side changes. See your own, free →
Verified live on camsonline.com, 14 August 2026, with a real MFD Office upload.
Log in, open GST Invoice Management, then GST Invoice Upload. Pick Your Own Invoice Format when it asks for your Invoice Source, this is the option for anyone who does not use CAMS's own auto-generated invoice, which is everyone using MFD Office. It takes you straight to Manual Document Upload, then Multi-AMC Batch Upload (via Excel), the bulk option for many fund houses at once. Set your payment month and year, then upload the zip of signed invoices and the Excel sheet, both already made and filled in by MFD Office. Nothing to retype, nothing to reformat.
Not sure which option applies to you? CAMS also offers a "CAMS-Generated Invoices" path with an OTP e-Sign option, but it only appears if your turnover is ₹5 crore or under, and it needs CAMS's own invoice, not yours. If you use MFD Office, Your Own Invoice Format is the one to pick, whatever your turnover.
Sending a signed invoice is only one part of the job. Here is all of it, and who covers what.
| 1. A signed invoice, for every fund house | 2. Send it to CAMS or KFIN | 3. Fix it if it is rejected | 4. Check the brokerage and GST payment reached you | 5. Prepare your GSTR-1 file | |

"only some" = CAMS-generated invoices only, turnover ₹5 crore or under. Everyone else still does steps 1 and 2 by hand, and steps 3, 4 and 5 are not covered by CAMS at all. MFD Office prepares your GSTR-1 file, you still review it and file it yourself, we do not file returns on your behalf.
Confirmed live, 14 August 2026, with a real MFD Office invoice set, 12 fund houses.
CAMS will email you after your upload. Once the upload is successful, CAMS sends an email showing the invoices received, with their status marked as SUCCESS. This only confirms that CAMS received your upload. It does not mean the invoices have been approved or paid. Check the Invoice Status screen to see their current status.
The Broker Invoice column. CAMS's Excel template includes a Broker Invoice column for distributors who use their own custom invoice numbers. If you turn on MFD Office's custom invoice numbering, under Account → Invoice numbering, your own invoice number is added here for you automatically. If you do not use your own invoice numbers, you can leave this column blank. CAMS can still accept the upload without it.
Why this matters: the old warning still applies if you ever upload by hand instead of through MFD Office. CAMS checks anything you type against its own record, row by row, and a mismatch shows REJECTED until you find the figure and fix it. MFD Office never asks you to type these figures, it reads them straight from your registrar file, exactly as printed, so there is nothing to type wrong.
KFIN does not offer the same e-Sign option as CAMS. So even with CAMS's newer process, you may still need to handle CAMS and KFIN separately each month.
MFD Office works with files from both registrars and prepares your invoices in one place. You also get reminders before the 15th, a record of what each fund house has paid you, and your GSTR-1 file at the end.
CAMS has made it easier to submit invoices for AMCs processed through CAMS. We built MFD Office to help you manage the rest of the month's invoice work too.
Whichever way your invoices reach CAMS or KFIN, for all AMCs.
CAMS and KFIN, all AMCs, any turnover, no typing, ready in minutes, with your GSTR-1 file prepared from the same invoices. See one of your own invoices free, no signup.

Yes. If you use your own invoice, upload it through Manual Document Upload. You can upload invoices one at a time or upload multiple invoices together using an Excel sheet and a ZIP file containing the signed PDFs. OTP e-Sign is only available for CAMS-generated invoices. MFD Office invoices can be uploaded using the batch upload option. This process has been tested and approved.
CAMS's own guide says you cannot use CAMS-Generated Invoices at all. You must use Your Own Invoice Format, under Manual Document Upload, not OTP e-Sign. This is the path MFD Office invoices already go through.
No, it is only for CAMS. KFIN keeps its own process. See the KFIN guide.
It shows REJECTED on the Invoice Status tab, and CAMS lets you know. You find the wrong figure, fix it, and upload again. This mainly happens on the manual, hand-typed path.
No. MFD Office prepares the GSTR-1 file and a CA-ready Excel from your invoices. You still review it and file it yourself on the GST portal. This is not tax advice.
CAMS asks for the payment month on its GST Invoice Download screen. This is the month CAMS actually paid the brokerage to you, the same month, not the month before. Choose the month shown on that payment, not the month the underlying AUM relates to.
